S.C.A.P.E. artists –
We are looking for artist’s images of paintings and their quotes on the UCSB reserves for inclusion in a S.C.A.P.E. book to be ready for the October show benefiting the UCSB reserves. The book will be a surprise gift to thank some of the key people who have made the reserves possible.

For the written part:
Please write something about a UCSB reserve (or more than one) that means a lot to you. Why do you like to paint at that reserve? Do you think of the people who put their energy and resources, their heart and soul sometimes, into preserving the area for your own and future generations?

For the images:
Please pick your best paintings of any of the UCSB Reserves and take or have a pro take a high quality image of it. Email images to Meg Ricks at mricks1@cox.net before Monday, September 28. The image should be high resolution for printing,
jpg file format: 8 x 10 inches, 300 dpi, 3.6 mb
or
tif file format: 8 x 10 inches, 300 dpi, 9.2 mb
It would be great, but is not absolutely necessary, to match your words to the image that you send. PLEASE SEND NO MORE THAN 3 IMAGES.
If there are any problems emailing images, we are going to ask you to hand deliver the file on a labeled flash drive to Meg, who will download it to the master files.
Questions on the UCSB Reserves? See the website: http://nrs.ucsb.edu (for our purposes, all of SC Island and an extended version of Coal Oil Point, including Devereux slough, is OK)
