Finally a bit of breathing time with the Fairview Gardens show set up at Goleta Library. Thomas Van Stein did a wonderful job jurying the show, with critiques for award winners and those entries not accepted. Thank you, Thomas. And many thanks to the, as usual, wonderful ingathering, jurying, and hanging teams. Be sure to come to the reception on February 20 from 2 - 5. We are planning a fun event.
Many, many thanks to Mark and Susie , our host and hostess for the January paintout at Orella Ranch. If you have some good photos, please send some to Cyndi for our website. Fabulous weather and all who attended had a wonderful time. Matt Cunningham is working on the podcast highlightly our group and I will let everyone know when and where available. Great day!
The S.C.A.P.E. board has been workinghard on the new year. Five shows planned for 2016, and we already have tentative planning started for 2017.
Thank you to all of you who came to the brainstorming brunch. I was very touched by the large group willing to get further involved. We do need you!
Fil and Jerry are getting more wonderful paint-outs organized. Our last show of the year will be for the Wildlife Care Network. If you would like to go up and explore their facility, contact Kasey Garn atKasey.firstname.lastname@example.org. They prefer only a couple of people at a time, since animals are under stress, but you can do some painting there if you arrange in advance. Don’t forget our zoo and the wild ones there. Also, Fairview Gardens continues to welcome artists.
