At the Wildling, October 7-23

The Wildling Show attracted over 160 entries, for about 60-80 places, and is sure to be a great show. Good luck to all who entered!

Here are all the important events and dates:

Thursday September 15 (or before): Judges decisions will be finished and letters will be sent via email to artists. More paintings than can be hung will be accepted, so that sold paintings that buyers want to take with them can be replaced.

Every artist whose work is accepted will be expected to do a volunteer shift helping with receptions, childrens’ art projects, or demonstrating plein air painting around Solvang. If the artist cannot perform a volunteer shift, he or she can be excused by paying SCAPE $40.

Tuesday, October 4: All accepted paintings are to be delivered to the Wildling Museum in Solvang between 12:00 - 3pm.  The judge and curators will examine original paintings. All acceptances are provisional, hanging being dependent on framing and fit with the final exhibit and space, and all curatorial decisions are final.  A number of accepted paintings will be kept to replace paintings sold.

Friday, October 7, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
