SCAPE's Events:  Designed to Further Our Mission

SCAPE holds a variety of events, each year, put on entirely by its volunteers, designed to  further its mission to promote camaraderie and artistic growth for our members while helping to raise money for non-profit environmental organizations:

  • Exhibits.  Two or more exhibits a year provide venues for SCAPE artists to display and sell their art. Each show is held in collaboration with a non-profit environmental organization which receives a percentage of the profits.
  • Paint-outs. Paint-outs, usually held each month, provide members with opportunities to paint together in special locations.
  • Workshops and Other Educational Events. Several workshops and other educational events conducted during the year give members opportunities to learn from well-known local, national and international artists and improve their artistic skills and knowledge.
  • Organization and Social Events.  Other important  events are held  for carrying on the business of the non-profit organization as well as social gathering.   One is the annual membership meeting where members to get together to paint, enjoy a picnic, and to vote for the next year's Board slate. Another annual event is Board retreat to plan and budget the next year's activities, and to review its goals and procedure, and to have some fun and enjoy painting together.  Other special events may be held from time to time.  We welcome ideas from our members and potential beneficiaries.
